Summer Camp

Timothy Training

An invitation only camp, this is our camper’s chance to become trained in as staff! This is the step between our team pouring into the campers, and the campers having a chance to give back- and become leaders.

Timothy Training Camp

2012 Timothy Training Camp: July 2-6

For alumni campers ages 14-16, by invitation only!

This is a special training camp for senior campers who have shown good character and a desire to become future staff at Camp David. This special camp will include: Team Initiatives, Service Projects, Bible Study, Relationship Building, and Volunteer Training. Timothy Training Camp will NOT include some of Camp David’s “normal” activities such as horse program, Princess Dinner, fishing, and crafts. You will work hard, have fun, and learn skills needed to serve as future Camp David staff!

What to Pack

  • Insect repellent & sunscreen
  • Flashlight
  • Sleeping Bag and pillow
  • Towel and washcloth
  • Sneakers and casual footwear
  • Shirts & shorts
  • Toiletries (soap, shampoo toothbrush, etc)
  • Bible, notebook, pen and watch
  • Jacket and long pants for cool evenings

Camp Shirts
We will give you staff camp shirts to wear during your week of camp, so you do not need to pack a lot of shirts.

Shoes
Footwear is very important at camp. Closed toed shoes (example: sneakers) are required for staff during their daily times of service. What you wear for your free time footwear is up to your own discretion, but flip-flops and bare feet cause too many foot injuries during work times.

Water Bottles & Cameras
We will give you a Camp David water bottle which you will write your name on and keep with you all the time so you can stay hydrated at camp! You don’t need a camera unless you use it during your free time.

Medicines
Please inform the nurse if you are on any medication and keep the medicine in the nurse’s station.

Electronics
Electronic devices will be limited. These include: cell phones, ipods & CD players and gaming devices. Staff can use cell phones, ipods and gaming devices during their free time, but otherwise they must be put away so staff can focus on service and being a team.

Please read our Camp Policies before coming to this camp.
