Camp David offers one week of Community Kids Camp for boys and girls ages 7-11. This fee camp helps to support our Angel Tree Camps.

Camp David now offers all the amazing programming and activities that have been reserved for Angel Tree Kids, to kids in our community! You can give your child this exciting opportunity for an incredible camp experience, and know that you are helping to support our scholarship camps for children of prisoners.

 

Community Kid’s Camp Details
This camp is open to both boys and girls, which are housed in separate dorm areas. They will join together in group games and dining hall activities. Cabin teams have two counselors and 5-6 campers.  Everyone will go fishing and participate in the crazy carnival! Everything we do at Camp David of the Ozarks encourages kids to realize their value and potential as a special creation of God.

Packing List:

  • T– shirts and shorts (play clothes!)
  • Long pants and a jacket
  • Pajamas and underwear
  • Towel and washcloth
  • Toothbrush, soap & shampoo
  • Sleeping bag and pillow
  • Swimsuit and flip- flops
  • Sneakers & socks (not sandals)
  • Bible
  • Spending money for gift shop (suggested $20)

 

Don’t pack:

  • Cell phones, MP3 players, or gaming devises
  • Valuable clothing or jewelry
  • Cigarettes or non-prescription drugs Fireworks or knives

We reserve the right to take anything from campers that we feel is contrary to the atmosphere and spirit of camp. These items will be safely stored and returned at the end of the week. Note: Angel Tree backpacks are not provided this week.

Community Kids Camp Schedule

  • 7:00 am Get up, get dressed, and clean cabins
  • 7:20  Obstacle Course rotates with cabin clean-up 8:00 Mealtime Routine (songs, skit, verses)
  • 8:15 BREAKFAST
  • 8:45 Morning Devotions with cabin team
  • 9:15 Activity Classes: horse program, nature class, low ropes, archery, crafts, field games
  • 12:15 Mealtime Routine
  • 12:30 LUNCH
  • 1:00 General Store Open
  • 1:15 Swimming or Free Time
  • 3:00 Rest Time
  • 4:00 Field Games  
  • 4:45 Mealtime Routine
  • 5:00 SUPPER
  • 5:45 Activity
  • 7:00 Evening Chapel– singing, puppet show 7:20 Testimony Time- Stories of Hope
  • 7:30 Bible Lesson
  • 7:50 Chapel Dismissed– Counselor Discussion Time 8:15 Rotate: Snacks, Showers, & Story time
  • 9:15 Back in cabins
  • 9:30 Bedtime-lights out for campers

Registration & Fee

The camp fee for Community Kid’s Camp is $275 per child. Please make checks out to CDO, or pay online (put a paypal “Pay” button). The camp fee includes a camp T-shirt for each camper, plus a water bottle and team photo. Each camp is filled on a first-registration-received basis. Confirmation postcards or emails will be sent to registered campers starting in May. Refunds are given if requested at least seven days before this camp, minus a $25 administrative fee.

 

Arrival & Departure

Check-in takes place for Community Kid’s Camp at 2:00 pm on Monday. Camp ends at 8:30pm on Thursday, but parents are invited to join us at 6:30pm for baptisms, campfire and awards time.
