Horse Riding Lessons
If you or your child have an interest in horses, this may be the opportunity you have been looking for! For $10 a lesson you can start learning to ride, saddle, and groom a horse at Camp David.

Spring & Fall Riding Lessons Camp David is excited to offer spring and fall horse-riding lessons. These lessons are offered for $10/hour/person. These classes will give you more experience riding horses and at the same time help keep the horses in shape and offset of our summer horse program. Space is limited students are chosen on a first come first serve basis.
What you’ll learn We teach beginner’s lessons to children and adults alike. The lessons include catching, haltering, brushing, saddling, bridling, riding, and caring for their gentle equine. Our Horse Program Director, has a passion to share a love of horses with her students! |

Needed: Horses on Loan We only own and maintain 5 horses throughout the winter months, while we use about 12 horses throughout the summer months. The other horses are provided by generous people who have older, broke horses they graciously allow us to use through June and July. We return them at the end of the summer camp season. This cuts down on the number of horses we feed and shoe throughout the year, and also reduces the wear on our already limited pastures.
